Autumn Doshier
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Oregon University. I specialize in individual therapy, and maintain a private practice in Southern Oregon. I draw from my experience in a variety of treatment settings including psychiatric care, universities/schools, community integrative health, crisis services, outpatient mental health, and private practice.

My approach to counseling is one that honors each client as unique and respects individual development and discovery in the therapeutic process. I believe that all people have deep wisdom and insight into what helps them find individual meaning and fulfillment in their life. I use an eclectic and integrative approach in the therapeutic process that is rooted in the needs and goals of each client. I believe in supporting the whole person and use techniques founded in relational, somatic, attachment focused, trauma informed, multicultural, humanistic, and interpersonal neurobiology theory. I embrace a social justice/anti-oppressive framework that values equity and inclusion in the therapeutic process to support client healing and empowerment.

I often work with those who have been impacted by trauma and have specialized training in trauma-specific models of care for both acute and longer-term recovery supports including Polyvagal Theory, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and other resourcing and somatic techniques.
Out of the office, I enjoy good humor, gardening, hiking, board games, and spending time with my family.
